Founded in Paris in 2016 by Dr. Hanan Salam, Women In AI has evolved into a global community of AI and data innovators. We’ve partnered with WAI to capture the pinnacle awards celebrating groundbreaking innovations by women in AI. 

With 50+ videos, we’ve fueled remarkable membership growth, expanding from a small Facebook group to 8,000 members (and counting) across 140 countries.

Mission

Women in AI is an international organisation dedicated to shaping inclusive AI for our common future. They are working towards increasing female representation and participation in the field of AI world-wide. 

As a production partner, 1 Minute Media has played a vital role in amplifying the visibility of women in this male-dominated industry, which continues to shape the future of technology across multiple sectors. 

Through our collaboration with Women in AI, we have helped bridge the gender gap in the workforce by producing meaningful event videos that support the organisation’s mission. Over the past three years, we’ve filmed key annual events in Sydney and Melbourne, creating 9 sponsor-branded highlight videos, 30+ attendee vox pops, and hundreds of optimized social cuts, contributing to the ongoing recognition and promotion of women’s contributions in AI.

Creative Direction

To build a strong connection with audiences at Women in AI’s events, our creative team employed scripted content, custom screen design, live action multi-cam filming, and a range of techniques including fluid motion shots, cinematic framing, and dynamic editing. On the night, our team of three cinematographers captured the event from multiple angles, including post-award Vox Pops, showcasing the raw excitement of the winners. This footage has been instrumental in driving ongoing promotional efforts for both sponsors and Women in AI’s marketing.

The result is a visually dynamic, seamless experience that captivates audiences, advocating for change and equality within this vast industry. 

Results

Ranked among the leading organisations in AI innovation, Women In AI has played a pivotal role in advancing female representation and participation in the field, operating in over 150 countries with 16,000 members and 200 volunteers.

By partnering with 1 Minute Media, we produced high-quality, influential videos that brought Women In AI’s mission to life. Our expertise in event video production ensured that each event was showcased with dynamic visuals that resonated with audiences, providing a foreground for avocation and actual change.

Now in its third year, our collaboration has helped elevate Women In AI’s global presence, supporting their goal of bridging the gender gap in the workforce and amplifying women’s contributions to AI.

The story of Professor Justin Yerbury AM, is one of resilience and courage in the fight against motor neurone disease. We had the deep honor of interviewing Professor Yerbury, in his own home, as he reflected on his legacy during his final months of his life.

The Voice to Parliament

Production Overview

With an extremely tight deadline, the Australian Family Legal Services, Western Australia approached our team to produce The Voice to Parliament, Animation.

The aim was to combat misinformation proliferating on the internet in the leadup to the Voice Referendum, through versions in English and the Kimberley Kriol dialect.

The animation was shown in information workshops, while our cuts, including reels, rapidly gained tens of 1000’s of views across socials. The outcomes reported were high increases in community awareness in the Kimberley region of WA.

Event

Production Overview

OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation.

1 Minute Media joined CEO Ronnie Khan and a team of supporters, including Chef Neil Perry and Sydney Mayor, Clover Moore to bring the message to the streets.

Taking over Sydney’s Martin Place at lunch-time, the crowd was buzzing and the food was mouth watering … And the best part? There were no leftovers.
