When UNSW Aviation needed to boost enrolments and stand out in a competitive education landscape, the university partnered with 1 Minute Media to craft a strategic video campaign that captured the thrill of airside training and the authenticity of student life.

The result was more than awareness, delivering measurable growth, with over 500 new student registrations in the first year. Today, UNSW Aviation continues to inspire future pilots with a dynamic library of videos that reflect its prestige as one of Australia’s leading aviation schools.

Mission

UNSW commissioned our team to showcase their prestigious School of Aviation. As a Global Top 20 University, UNSW’s exciting professional flying courses are tailored to respond to evolving local and global challenges. 

Our promotional series shows off UNSW’s Aviation learning facilities, including the Flying Operations Unit (FOU) where their fleet of ultra-modern aircraft is housed.

Our mission was to generate national & international registrations through a series of premium videos ads.

Creative Direction

In order to best showcase the state-of-the-art School of Aviation, we worked closely with our clients, from the initial concept to post-production.

It was crucial to reflect the School’s prestige, while maintaining a welcoming buzz for Australian and International students. 

We fused an array of footage, motion graphics and stills with interviews with real students and staff.

Results

The campaign delivered more than awareness – it drives measurable growth. Rolled out across digital platforms, the UNSW Aviation videos generated over 500 new student registrations in the first year, filling intakes and strengthening the school’s reputation as one of Australia’s leading aviation institutions. The campaign continues to perform, supporting new enrolments year after year.

Affirm Press is one of Australia’s most respected, independent publishers, dedicated to publishing our nation’s stories and ideas. Affirm’s team approached us to bring their stunning collection of fiction and biographies to life, via short-form video.

The story of Professor Justin Yerbury AM, is one of resilience and courage in the fight against motor neurone disease. We had the deep honor of interviewing Professor Yerbury, in his own home, as he reflected on his legacy during his final months of his life.

The Voice to Parliament

Production Overview

With an extremely tight deadline, the Australian Family Legal Services, Western Australia approached our team to produce The Voice to Parliament, Animation.

The aim was to combat misinformation proliferating on the internet in the leadup to the Voice Referendum, through versions in English and the Kimberley Kriol dialect.

The animation was shown in information workshops, while our cuts, including reels, rapidly gained tens of 1000’s of views across socials. The outcomes reported were high increases in community awareness in the Kimberley region of WA.

Event

Production Overview

OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation.

1 Minute Media joined CEO Ronnie Khan and a team of supporters, including Chef Neil Perry and Sydney Mayor, Clover Moore to bring the message to the streets.

Taking over Sydney’s Martin Place at lunch-time, the crowd was buzzing and the food was mouth watering … And the best part? There were no leftovers.
