Mission
We collaborated with the late Professor Justin Yerbury, AM, and Affirm Press to launch ‘Fighting Fate’ into the public sphere. Our goal was to promote sales of the autobiography, which was designed to stimulate conversation and awareness around MND.
Our videos highlight the extraordinary and courageous journey Professor Yerbury experienced living with and researching Motor Neurone Disease.
We had the great honor of interviewing Professor Yerbury, in his own home, as he reflected on his legacy during the final months of his life.
Creative Direction
Our creative team worked closely with Affirm Press to design both a factual and sensitive approach to promote Professor Yerbury’s extraordinary biography, while also conveying crucial information about MND.
Professor Yerbury’s wife, Rachel, narrated the videos, adding a poignant reminder of the impact on sufferers and their families.
Our team drew on 10+ years experience in cinematic filming, including drone & documentary interviews to add the depth deserved by the subject. Our expert team of editors finessed the videos by fusing motion graphics, photos and available historical footage, to ensure a sensitive companion series for this important Australian publication.
Results
Since the release of our videos and launch of “Fighting Fate,” Australian MND researchers have made several exciting discoveries surrounding gene and immune cell therapies, new technology, imaging techniques and MND reversal.
People are more aware of MND than ever before.
Currently, 1 in 11,434 Australians is diagnosed with MND each year, and this number is increasing.
‘Fighting Fate’ has become established as crucial to contemporary MND discourse, and has deservedly received rave reviews from Griffith University, Amazon and many others. Our team at 1 Minute Media was honoured to produce the accompanying video promotions that have contributed to this success, continuing the legacy of Professor Yerbury.
